The Walter V. Person Scholarship Committee is now accepting applications for 2021 high school graduates of St. John Missionary Baptist Church (Orange Mound) to participate in the Walter V. Person Scholarship Essay Writing Contest.

In 500 words or more, please answer the essay question below.

           How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your educational goals and dreams?

Three scholarships will be awarded.

          – First Prize – $1,000

          – Second Prize – $600

          – Third Prize – $400

The application deadline is April 2, 2021.
