Virtual Church Etiquette Policy

Greetings, St. John MBC members, family and friends,

We thank GOD for you and your ongoing support of our in-person and virtual worship services. Many members are forced to worship from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we would like to kindly remind all online worshippers of church etiquette while online.

  • Please do not post comments that distract from or are unrelated to the worship experience.

  • Please do not start “side conversations” amongst others who are also online. Such conversations should be had outside of worship hours.

  • Please do not post lengthy commentary or share personal information that will distract others’ attention away from the Sermon or overall worship experience.

  • Please do not post remarks directed at any person who is worshipping in-person. (This does not include simple comments like “Congratulations” or “Thank you”.)

  • Please do not post on behalf of or as the official voice of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Only represent yourself as an individual worshipper.

Overall, as a general rule, if you would not sit in the congregation in-person and make the remark aloud during Worship Service, please refrain from doing so online.

Thank you! We appreciate your cooperation and prayers for successful virtual and in-person worship experiences.

May GOD continue to bless and keep you is our humble prayer.
