The Sunday School Ministry of St. John Missionary Baptist Church is a vital part of the Church ministry.

The Mission of Sunday School is:

To provide Christian education for students of all ages.

The Sunday School offers persons opportunities to engage in regularly-scheduled year-round Bible lessons. During these lessons, teachers and students make an effort to understand the appropriate meanings and experiences of the Christian faith.

St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Orange Mound offers classes with age-appropriate content for adults, young adults, children, and preschool students. Classes are taught by volunteer teachers who attend weekly Teachers’ Meetings.

(Due to COVID-19, all Sunday School, Teachers’ Meeting, Bible Study and other Christian education classes have been postponed until the end of the pandemic. Since all St. John services have been streamlined, currently, we are offering virtual Sunday School Lessons each Wednesday, 10 a.m. via Facebook Live and a Sunday School Lesson Review on Sunday mornings via Facebook and YouTube. Bible Study is taught Friday mornings at 10 on Facebook Live. These online services are all on the Church’s official Facebook page and/or YouTube channel.
