The St. John Male Chorus began many years ago through the vision of Brother Joe Thomas, a man with intuition, a warm spirit, and great spiritual guidance. One could always look forward to moving conversations about praise and worship through song. Because of that humble spirit, many of the men started to come together, not only to sing, but to worship and thank GOD for all His goodness.

Through songs of praise, one can sometimes get a much better understanding of GOD’s goodness, and of His grace and mercy. It also provides opportunities to mentor to those in need of conversation or spiritual guidance. As a result of testimonies by brethren who were unashamed to witness The LORD and His goodness, the Male Chorus has had much growth. In many cases, when there is a song in the heart, no matter what the situation, one will feel much better about their circumstances.

Today, the St. John Male Chorus continues to welcome the young and the seasoned to come and be blessed through song; for we know that “There is Power in the Name of JESUS!”

Male Chorus rehearsal is held each Saturday before the first and fifth Sundays at 2 p.m. Members who are interested in joining the Male Chorus are welcomed to attend a Male Chorus rehearsal and make the request known. (Due to COVID-19, Male Chorus rehearsals are not regularly held. Please call the Church for more information.)
