Look to the Hills

The world is filled with countless distractions. Life’s issues, problems, concerns, and worries can easily cloud our minds and prevent us from focusing on CHRIST. 

Philippians 4:8 tells us how to shape our thoughts. “Whatever is true, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.” (NIV)

If we spend our days focusing on what is “true,” we will not believe the enemy’s lies. If we thought about what is “right,” we would not wallow in sin or what’s wrong. If we recommitted ourselves to “purity” and what is “lovely,” perhaps we could live more righteously. If we continuously sought what is “admirable,” we could walk closer with The LORD each day.

But just like a camera that is out of focus, our eyes are often clouded by temporal troubles, causing us to lose sight of our eternal GOD. HE is a problem solver, a mind regulator, a helper and a healer, a doctor, and a deliverer. In short, HE is everything we need!

When life has you looking and feeling down, remember to “lift up your eyes to the hills from whence cometh your help, knowing that ALL your help cometh from The LORD, Who made heaven and earth.”
